NIM has started a collaboration with the California NanoSystems Institute (CNSI) in Los Angeles, USA. As a first joint action NIM will take part in the 3rd Annual Symposium on Nanobiotechnology, which will be held in the auditorium of the California NanoSystems Institute (CNSI) on the UCLA campus. The theme is "New directions in NanoHealth". Presentations will focus on diagnostics, drug therapies and delivery systems, nanosafety, and other related areas of nanomedical research. Together with NIM and the CNSI, the Center for NanoBio Integration (CNBI) at the University of Tokyo and the Nanomedical National Core Research Center at Yonsei University, Sout Korea will hold the workshop. 

NIM specially supports 8 PhD students in order to allow them the participation in the workshop. From the budget of its graduate program NIM will cover their travel expenses.
