Open House Day Campus Garching – 150 years TUM

Science for Everybody

This year, the TUM celebrates its 150th anniversary. The science campus Garching invites you to a huge open house day on October 13, 2018, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Several scientific facilities as well as the Clusters of Excellence present their results and research all over the campus.

More than 40 research institutes and companies at the TUM Campus Garching have organized a wide-ranging, fascinating program to explore science very closely.

Many NIM scientists will open their doors for interested visitors. At our central information booth, the Nanosystems Initiative Munich will offer small hands-on experiments for visitors of all ages and provide information about the nano-research in Munich.
In addition, there will be nanoquiz and a ‘selfie booth’-laboratory. Several researchers will give exciting talks about their current research as well as the new Clusters of Excellence starting in Munich in 2019.

Together with other Clusters of Excellence and several student labs, the NIM booth will be located in the Institute of Advanced Studies (IAS), Lichtenbergstraße 2a.
