Leibniz Award for NIM scientist Vasilis Ntziachristos

DFG awards prize for new optical biomedical imaging technique

Prof. Vasilis Ntziachristos (Technische Universität München - TUM) gets one of the most renowned German research awards. The German research foundation (DFG) awards the Leibniz Prize worth 2.5 million Euro to the bio engineer. The NIM scientist is awarded for his internationally high acknowledged contributions to the field of optical imaging. His novel techniques stimulated the basic research as well as the therapy of patients.
