Lindhard Lecture Prize for Prof. Peter Hänggi

Prof. Peter Hänggi (Theoretical Physics, University of Augsburg) has been awarded the Lindhard Lecture Prize by the Centre for Theory in Natural Science (CTN) of the Aarhus University, Denmark. The CTN connects theoretical scientists from various fields by interdisciplinary projects, meetings and by the series of Lindhard Lectures given by prominent guests.

On Monday, June 14, 2010 Prof. Hänggi will give his prize lecture titled "The ring of Brownian motion: the good, the bad, and the simply silly". Former awardees for example have been the theoretical biologist Stuart Kauffman, University of Calgary (in 2009) and Alexeie Finkelstein from the Institute of Protein Research at the Russian Academy of Science (in 2008).
