NanoDay 2009 with Willi Weitzel and Jean Pütz

NanoDay 2009 with Willi Weitzel and Jean Pütz

“Willi wills wissen” - “Willi wants to know” is the title of a German TV show for children. Now the showmaster Willi Weitzel (upper photo) wants to know what nano technology is. He will therefore be on-site at the German Museum when NIM holds its second NanoDay. On stage you will also experience Jean Pütz (lower photo), who has been the creator of a TV science show in Germany.

Besides these highlights NIM will present a lot of „Hands-on-Science”. NIM scientists will show and explain their research on-site at information booths and in public talks. You will learn how to produce electricity with the help of raspberry juice, how an Atomic Force Microscope works, or you can move nano droplets with a joystick. In the visitors’ Lab you will be able to perform real scientific experiments. The venue for the NanoDay 2009 is the „Deutsches Museum“, which opens its newly built Center for New Technologies and the Aviation Hall for the NanoDay.

Saturday, 21st November 2009, 10:00 - 17:00 h
