NIM Spin-off Club Workshop 2013

July 24-25, 2013

The NIM Spin-off Club consists of 13 start-up companies founded by researchers of nano science groups at LMU and TUM. Most of the enterprises have been founded by NIM-PIs or their graduate students. They have acquired a lot of know-how in getting these companies going.

Now they are willing to share this knowledge with the NIM graduate students in order to lower the barriers for future founders among them.

The talks of ten NIM spin-off founders will focus on the scientific and technological background of their companies as well as on their practical entrepreneurial experience.

Each talk will be followed by 15 minutes discussion. The participants are encouraged to ask a lot of questions.

The workshop program will be completed by a career talk of respresentatives of the LMU spin-off service and the UnternehmerTUM. They also will lead an interactive session which will let the participants take part in the process of founding a company.

During two poster sessions the graduate students will be able to present their own scientific work. This could be particularly interesting for those being close to the end of their thesis and looking for an interesting job, but also for those who look for a collaboration partner in industry.

Location:
LMU Lecture Hall B001
Oettingenstr. 67, Munich
Ground floor
