Open Day Campus Garching

Science for Everybody

The science campus Garching invites you to a huge „Open Day“ on October 11, 2014, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The campus is one of Germany´s largest centres for research and education.

More than 30 research institutes and companies will open their doors for visitors. The scientists will offer a wide-ranging, fascinating program to explore science very closly.

Together with other Munich Clusters of Excellence NIM presents a "Science Lounge" with talks, experiments and information booth. Visit us in the Exzellenzhaus, Boltzmannstraße 17!

At the open day visitors can slip into the role of a scientist by conducting experiments on their own. There will also be various talks about current research and which technologies might support our every day life in the future. People can visit research centers that are normally not open for the public such as the Neutron Research Facility or the high-performance computer.

NIM and the other Munich Clusters of Excellence present a „Science Lounge“, information booth and hands-on experiments in the Exzellenzhaus. You will find this small and colorful building close to the northern exit of the U-Bahn (Boltzmannstr. 17).
