More than 2000 visitors at the NanoDay 2014
Fascinated guests and enthusiastic scientists
„Nano – what does that mean exactly? How is it able to work on that tiny scale? What is the use of the research results?“
At the NIM NanoDay 2014 the many vistors got answers to these and many other questions directly by NIM scientists. On Saturday, 22 November 2014, the NIM cluster organised this huge public event for the fourth time - this year in cooperation with the network "Solar Technologies go Hybrid". The NanoDay took place at the Deutsches Museum München, which is also member of the NIM cluster.
On more than twenty booths young scientists explained their research with many hands-on experiments and in the stage program professors presented their cutting edge research projects. As a special guest from SolTech, Prof. Mukundan Thelakkat gave insight into his reasearch on new materials for solar cells.
The program was completed by the comedian Georg Eggers who demonstrated science with a twinkle in his eye.
