Luminescent Semiconductor Nano-Networks

The self-assembly of colloidal nanocrystals into free-standing luminescent semiconductor nanowires and nanonetworks is being pursued by Rogach. Single nanowires composed of the above building blocks will be used as nanocables and transducing systems acting as sensors, and nanowire networks will be embedded within a matrix of conducting polymers or fullerene films for effective charge separation and transport, leading to the creation of high-efficiency light-conversion and photodetection systems.
