Artificial Spidersilk Capsules for Drug Delivery

NIM-scientists from the Technical University Munich (TUM) applied a trick of nature to produce novel biomaterials. They exploited the surface properties of artificial spidersilk to use it as material for the encapsulation of medical substances. The renowned journal Advanced Materials reports this in its current issue.
